Introducing our 2019 Captains!

We are excited to introduce you to our Captains for the 2019 Bengal Bouts Season!

President

Ryan Richelsen

Year: Senior

Hometown: Medina, MN

Years Boxing: 4

Major: Mechanical Engineering

“I initially joined the club to learn how to box and very quickly bought into the main goal of fundraising for the Holy Cross Missions in Bangladesh. The commitment of the other boxers and coaches to create something greater than themselves is contagious. The people I have met and the funds raised for the Missions are the main reason why I am part of the Bengal Bouts.”

Vice President

Michael Feijoo

Year: Senior

Hometown: Queens, NY

Years Boxing: 4

Major: Theology & Pre-Health

“I originally got involved with boxing to stay fit during college. Now, my favorite part is that I can use my interest in and knowledge of Fitness to benefit the children under the care of the Holy Cross missions in Bangladesh.”

Vice President

Jack McDermott

Year: Senior

Hometown: Mt. Prospect, IL

Years Boxing: 4

Major: Applied Math & Economics

“My favorite part of boxing is getting hit for the first time after stepping into the ring.  The adrenaline kicks in, the butterflies go away, and the fun begins!”

Senior Officer

Dominic Angelotti

Year: Senior

Hometown: Midland, MI

Years Boxing: 4

Major: ACMS

” I first just wanted a good way to get in shape and meet some new guys (I transferred in as a sophomore) so I decided to go to practice one day. I was hooked immediately by the workouts and learning the skill of boxing, but also soon found the fundraising aspect to be really incredible. In all, there are so many benefits, both personal and for helping others, that make Bengal Bouts great and made me want to stick with it”

Senior Captains

Dan Wilborn

Year: Senior

Hometown: Rochester, NY

Years Boxing: 3

Major: Computer Science & Economics

“I originally joined boxing because my friends told me I couldn’t do it. I’ve stuck around because of the discipline boxing gives me in my life, the chance to give back to a good cause, and the many close friends I’ve made in the program.”

Montana Giordano

 Year: Senior

Hometown: Belle Chasse, LA

Years Boxing: 4

Major: Political Science

“I initially joined Bengal bouts because I was looking for a fun extracurricular on campus. I immediately fell in love with the camaraderie of the club and the club’s mission to raising money for those less fortunate in Bangladesh. My favorite part of the Bangel Bouts is watching boxers become passionate about raising money for people they haven’t met half way across the world.”

Cam Nolan

Year: Senior

Hometown: Alpharetta, GA

Years Boxing: 4

Major: Mechanical Engineering

“I got involved to challenge myself. I stuck around for the Mission, to practice and train to serve those in need. “

Michael Krecek

Year: Senior

Hometown: LaGrange, IL

Years Boxing: 4

Major: Finance

“I learned about Bengal Bouts in high school and thought that if I got it to Notre Dame it would be the best way to serve others, get in the best shape of my life, and learn a new sport. I also saw it as an opportunity continue the boxing legacy of my grandfather who competed in the early 1950s at Notre Dame.”

Junior Captains

Parker Revers

Year: Junior

Hometown: Denver, CO

Years Boxing: 3

Major: Finance & History

“Joined because I wanted to stay active during college, but fell in love with the club when I realized it was competitive sport for a social cause. My favorite part of boxing is the Mac workouts because he routinely pushes us.”

Tim Leisenring

Year: Junior

Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA

Years Boxing: 3

Major: Business Analytics

“I started boxing because my mom told me not to. My favorite part is pushing myself every day with my teammates.”

Taylor Vucinich

Year: Junior

Hometown: Palmdale, CA

Years Boxing: 3

Major: IT Management

“Competition is what got me started in boxing, but the mission is predominantly what has kept me around.  I always wanted sports to be a big part of my college life and this has allowed for that. However being a part of such an amazing cause has been the best part of my college experience.”
